The Continence Advisory Service is committed to delivering high quality, confidential, professional care to clients, including children over the age of 5 years, with bladder or bowel control problems. The staff are also keen to help people with pro-active advice on maintaining bladder and bowel health.

Who are we?

The Continence Advisory Service, part of the Rehabilitation & Aged Care Service of Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Health Service.

Our staff are Registered Nurses with professional training in continence and related problems.

What do we do?

The nurses from the Continence Advisory Service run an outpatient clinic once a fortnight at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital, in the Bernard Curran Unit. The appointment time will vary in length, depending on whether it is an initial assessment or a follow up appointment.

How you can access our service

Please phone 94779514 for an appointment. You may self refer or go through local doctors, ward staff or allied health professionals.

The service is free.

Where you can find us

The clinic is on the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital campus in the Bernard Curran Unit, ground floor of the Palmerston Building off Derby Road. Enter through Gate 6.

What are our hours?

Clinics take place on alternate Tuesdays from 9.00am – 4pm. Please phone the unit to check appointment availability.

When you arrive

Please see the receptionist in the unit who will take any referral letters or other relevant information from you and place it with your file.
