Northern Sydney Carer Support Service provides a range of Carer courses that offer relevant information, resources, and practical skills to help and support Carers.

Men's Cooking Course Our Men's Cooking course is very popular and provides an invaluable opportunity for those male carers who have had to take over cooking the meals due to ill health or loss of their family member. The course is free-of-charge and is an opportunity to meet other men in the same situation and learn about good nutrition whilst preparing a 2-course meal, which is then shared with the other course participants. Courses run throughout the year over a 6 week period, with an opportunity to then meet up again at the monthly support group. Classes are held on Thursdays from 11am to 2.30pm in the Lower North Shore region at Macquarie Hospital, North Ryde and on Fridays at The Tram Shed, Narrabeen. Carer Support Groups

A `drop in' format Carer Support group is facilitated by Northern Sydney Carer Support Service, held on the first Monday of each month (except public holidays) from 9.30am till 11.30am at UPA Community Health Building, 1614 Pacific Highway, Wahroonga (enter via Ada Avenue). It is an opportunity to get together with other Carers and share a cuppa and have a chat.

Mosman area - contact Mosman Council 9978 4089, meets weekly.
Gladesville Ryde Hunters Hill areas - contact Ryde Hunters Hill Community Aid 9817 0101, regular meetings.
Northern Beaches - contact Northside Community Connect 9931 7750, different groups.
