New Mental Health Centre opens at
Wyong Hospital.
Wyong Mental Health Centre, part of the Government’s
$10 million Central Coast Mental Health Strategy, will triple
the number of mental health beds available on the Central Coast.
Completed in 2004 the new facility is designed to incorporate
the latest best practice in mental health care.
Opening in stages the new centre will provide 15
Older Persons beds, 10 High-Level observation
beds and 25 Adult Acute beds when fully operational. This will
complement the existing 25 bed
Mandala facility at Gosford Hospital and will give the Central
Coast much needed additional
capacity to treat mental health patients locally.
